Fantastic cuisine from 'volcano' pizzas to foie gras

le surfing

One of the more contemporary dining experiences in town but with a relaxed vibe. Creative mix of food, great cocktails and lovely staff.  A great post surfing spot!  As they say on their website: "We will try our best to make sure that you leave with some wonderful memories and a radiant smile from ear to ear!!!"

restaurant degustation du-lac

A fantastic dining experience, with particularly good fish plates on the menu. Positioned lakeside, about a mile and a half from central Hossegor. We'd recommend the plateau de fruit de mer, 33 euros per head and great value for money.

Looking for one of the best locations to watch Hossegors beautiful sunsets, Mar y Sol might be one of the best. Good selection of food including pizza, moules, and a selection of meats and seafood.

Le Napoli

This is one of our family favorites, visited at least once a trip, if not more. A short walk from the Place, it has great atmosphere and lovely outdoor patio. Don't miss the Volcana - GREAT pizza!

Hotel de la plage

Location, location, location! Hotel de la Plage couldn't be closer to the waves and directly above Dick Sand Bar. Plus the hotel and restaurant is run by one of the more talented surfing families in Hossegor. With a little luck you might see brothers Guillaume and Alex ripping up in the big air tournament.

"Beautiful decor and position in the port. The tartare bonite , lotte au curry, magret and caramel liegois were fantastic - as indeed was the menu du jour chosen by my son - whitebait and then mussels - were equally superb all for 13,50 euros" - Sam Elliott

Located right in the centre of Hossegor town, this is a great place to stop for a cold beer or a bite to eat after a trip to the boucherie (which is right next door).  A selection of local seafood is available with great service. We would recommend mussels a la plancha!

Distance: 20 minute walk

"We are in love with le Touring - the atmosphere, warmth, quality of service and food is phenomenal. The fish is to die for - gambas, chipirons, seabream, mixed shell fish and brilliant fish soup. Confit de canard is also superb as well as their puddings." - Sam Elliott

Brasserie du Port

If you fancy a trip out of Hossegor, Brasserie du Port is just around the corner in Capbreton. Great service and great seafood, this place is definitely worth a visit. Owner chef Nicola is a great friend of our family.

Auberge du Cheval Blanc - Bayonne

We all visited Cheval Blanc for a family birthday as a bit of a treat and a treat it was. Located in beautiful Bayonne, this michelin started restaurant does not disappoint. The food is truly stunning and service is wonderful. If you are interested in venturing out of Hossegor for an evening this is the place to go.

"The ambience, service and food is unbelievable - and a wonderful position overlooking the ocean and the port of Capbreton. We had suggestion of the day - Parillada - absolutely fantastic." - Sam Elliott
